I have had the most amazing time filming my first film with the Ringling College of Art + Design's Film Program. I'm playing the starring role of Denise Gringy in THE METHOD ACTOR'S WIFE, a senior thesis film directed by Taz Thompson and written by Patricia Pete. The entire staff of students are so professional -- and it's looking really great.
Denise Gringy is a local politician with big dreams of becoming a U.S. House Representative... with only one hitch: her method actor husband who insists on dressing up in full costume and makeup for every crazy audition. He's ALWAYS in character, which undoubtedly gets in the way when the media gets ahold of some of his latest antics.
It's an adorably fun romantic comedy and I've had the pleasure of working with some other local film actors on the project. I've learned what eye-line means, what apple boxes are, and what "first team flying in" means. Acting for film is much different than acting on stage... but, it's exciting all the same.
